The Club Guidelines

We've put together a little guide to help newer members get to grips with life at Dollar Squash Club and also to refresh the memory of older members

General Club Rules

Non-marking shoes to be worn on court

No dress code (though clothing always required!!)

If you need to cancel a game please do so ASAP to free up courts for other members.

You can phone, text or email other players at any time to arrange games.... the person you're contacting will be as keen to play as you are.

The Game

Warm Up
Before a match both players warm up on the court for 2.5 minutes each side.

Spin your racket to determine who serves first.
Look at the base of your racket's handle at the makers logo.
If you have a Wilson racket it'll have a 'W' on the bottom.
Give your opponent the option of a 'W' or an 'M'.
Whichever way the racket lands the winner serves.

We use the Point A Rally scoring system
First to 15 points wins.
Points can be scored by either player.
If a game is tied at 14 all then the winner is the 1st player to go 2 points ahead.

A match is the best of 5 games
In the event of a defeat always have at least 1 excuse ready such as "I had a big dinner just before the game" NB use sparingly ;)

And don't forget
Squash is a great way to stay fit, meet new people and have fun!
